Windrose Electric Reinforces North American Strategy with Plans to Assemble Global E700 Electric Trucks in Georgia and Washington

Windrose partners with Aertssen Logistics USA to operate dual-coast assembly hubs at Port of Savannah and Port of Tacoma.

SAVANNAH, GA & TACOMA, WA – May 5, 2026 – Windrose Electric, a leader in next-generation zero-emission long-haul trucks, today announced a major update on its North American growth strategy. To improve product availability and meet growing demand for electric trucks, Windrose has partnered with Aertssen Logistics USA Inc.

Under the agreement, Windrose will utilize Aertssen's state-of-the-art Equipment Processing Centers (EPCs) to perform the final technical assembly, battery integration, and quality assurance for the Windrose Global E700 — commercially known as the R700 in the United States.

The partnership activates two key industrial hubs to serve the U.S. market on both coasts:

  • Rincon, Georgia (Near Port of Savannah): Aertssen's primary North American EPC — 380,800 sq ft (approx. 35,377 m²) of indoor storage and technical space on a 35-acre site.
  • Tacoma, Washington (Near Port of Tacoma): A 250,000 sq ft (approx. 23,225 m²) facility to support rapid delivery of the R700 to West Coast fleets and Section 177 states.

Partnership Highlights

  • Dual-Coast Assembly Hubs: Localized final assembly at facilities totaling over 630,000 sq ft (approx. 58,600 m²) of combined indoor space.
  • The Global E700 / R700: 705–729 kWh battery capacity delivering an estimated range of over 400 miles (approx. 640 km) under full load.
  • Precision Technical Services: Aertssen's technicians will manage high-voltage integration and final performance testing to meet U.S. DOT standards.
  • Sustainability Leadership: The collaboration supports decarbonization of First to Last Mile and long-haul freight corridors.
