8.14.4 Inspect
8.14.4.1 Inspection of Brake System
1. Check the working condition of the vehicle's braking
system. When fully braking, the pedal travel shall not
exceed 3/4 of the full travel.
2. Check the sealing condition of the brake pipeline and joints,
and confirm that there is no leakage.
3. Check the valve joints for looseness or air leakage.
8.14.4.2 Inspection of Brake Pad for Wear
1. Lift the vehicle to the appropriate position and remove the
wheels.
2. Check the thickness of the inner and outer friction plates
through the observation holes on the clamp body.
3. Remove the rear friction plate.
4. Check the thickness of the rear friction plate.
caution
If the thickness is less than the minimum thickness,
replace the friction plates as a set.
If the thickness of the inner and outer friction plates is
less than the specified minimum thickness or if there
is cracking, rupture or damage to the friction plates,
they need to be replaced as a set.
