6.18.3.1 Replacement of Left Intake Grille Assembly
Assembly
Removal Procedures
1
Open the door.
2
Open the front flip cover plate.
3
Disconnect the battery negative cable.
caution
power down the high-voltage system before
disconnecting the negative pole of the storage
battery.
4
Remove the engine compartment trim panel body.
5
Remove the through-type lamp.
6
Remove the front MMW radar shield.
7
Remove the forward MMW radar.
8
Remove the front MMW radar adapter bracket.
9
Remove the left cover plate of the corner radar.
10
Remove the right cover plate of the corner radar.
11
Remove the front bumper assembly.
12
Disconnect 2 harness connectors of the left intake grille
assembly.
13
Disengage 4 harness fixing clips.
14
Remove 6 fixing bolts of the left intake grille assembly.
15
Remove the left intake grille assembly.
Installation Procedures
1
Move the left intake grille assembly to the mounting
position.
2
Install 6 fixing bolts of the left intake grille assembly.
Torque: (4.5 +/- .75) ft lbs
3
Install 4 harness fixing clips.
4
Connect 2 harness connectors of the left intake grille
assembly.
caution
The harness is firmly connected following the
principal of "insert until a click is heard for
confirmation".

Install the front bumper assembly.
6
Install the right cover plate of the corner radar.
7
Install the left cover plate of the corner radar.
8
Install the front MMW radar adapter bracket.
9
Install the forward MMW radar.
10
Install the front MMW radar shield.
11
Install the through-type lamp.
12
Install the engine compartment trim panel body.
13
Connect the battery negative cable.
14
Close the front flip cover plate.
15
Close the door.

Open the door.

Installation Procedures
1
Move the left intake grille body assembly to the mounting
position.
2
Install 6 fixing bolts of the left intake grille body assembly.
Torque: (4.5 +/- .75) ft lbs

Install 5 harness fixing clips.
4
Connect 1 harness connector of the left intake grille body
assembly.
caution
The harness is firmly connected following the
principal of "insert until a click is heard for
confirmation".

Install the front bumper assembly.
6
Install the right cover plate of the corner radar.
7
Install the left cover plate of the corner radar.
8
Install the front MMW radar adapter bracket.
9
Install the forward MMW radar.
10
Install the front MMW radar shield.
11
Install the through-type lamp.
12
Install the engine compartment trim panel body.
13
Connect the battery negative cable.

Close the front flip cover plate.

Open the door.

Open the front flip cover plate.

Disconnect the battery negative cable.

Remove the through-type lamp.
6
Remove the front MMW radar shield.
7
Remove the forward MMW radar.

Remove the front MMW radar adapter bracket.

Remove the left cover plate of the corner radar.

Remove the right cover plate of the corner radar.

Remove the front bumper assembly.
12
Disconnect 2 harness connectors of the GASM harness
module.
13
Disengage 1 fixing clip of the GASM harness module.

Remove the GASM harness module.
Installation Procedures
1
Move the GASM harness module to the mounting
position.
2
Install 1 fixing clip of the GASM harness module.
3
Connect 2 harness connectors of the GASM harness
module.
caution
The harness is firmly connected following the
principal of "insert until a click is heard for
confirmation".
4
Install the front bumper assembly.
5
Install the right cover plate of the corner radar.
6
Install the left cover plate of the corner radar.
7
Install the MMWR adapter bracket.
8
Install the forward MMW radar.
9
Install the front MMW radar shield.
10
Install the through-type lamp.
11
Install the engine compartment trim panel body.
12
Connect the battery negative cable.
13
Close the front flip cover plate.

Close the door.

Install 6 fixing bolts of the right intake grille assembly.
Torque:(4.5 +/- .75) ft lbs

Install 2 harness fixing clips of the right intake grille
assembly.

Connect 1 harness connector of the right intake grille
assembly.

Install the front bumper assembly.

Remove 2 harness clips of the air deflector assembly.

Remove 10 fixing bolts of the air deflector assembly.

Remove the air deflector assembly.
Installation Procedures
1
Move the air deflector assembly to the mounting position.
2
Install 10 fixing bolts of the air deflector assembly.
Torque:(4.5 +/- .75) ft lbs

Install 2 harness clips of the air deflector assembly.
4
Install the front lower protection assembly.
5
Install the MMW radar bracket.
6
Install the sealing cross beam.
7
Install the electric horn assembly - high-pitch.
8
Install the electric horn assembly - low-pitch.
9
Install the front bumper assembly.
10
Install the right cover plate of the corner radar.
11
Install the left cover plate of the corner radar.
12
Install the front MMW radar adapter bracket.
13
Install the forward MMW radar.
14
Install the front MMW radar shield.
15
Install the through-type lamp.

Install the engine compartment trim panel body.
