1.4 Lift the Vehicle

1.4.1 Description and Operation

1.4.1.1 Vehicle Lifting and Jacking
Note the Condition of Vehicle When jacking
1. Principle: Be sure to jack the vehicle in no-load state; Never
jack the vehicle in loaded state.
2. The center of gravity of the vehicle will shift after removal of
drive motor, high voltage battery box and other heavier
parts. Make sure the vehicle supported properly to prevent
the vehicle from overturning.
Precautions for Using Jack and Jack Stands
1. Be sure to follow the instructions in this manual for safe
operation.
2. Never attempt to lift the tire with a crowbar so as to avoid
damaging the wheels and tires.
3. Park the vehicle on level road surface and pull the parking
brake.
4. Be sure to block the wheel on the other end of the diagonal
that connects this wheel with the jacking position.
5. Use a jack with a rubber pad to jack the vehicle.
caution
If required, after jacking the vehicle with a jack,
support the vehicle using a jack stands with rubber
pad.
