On Friday, July 10, 2026, GDC took delivery of the first Windrose Global E700 truck in Europe — marking a milestone for electric long-haul freight on the continent.
The relationship began in 2024 when Windrose first came to Belgium. GDC was one of the earliest Belgian operators to work with Windrose, and after two years running the truck across real long-haul routes, they moved to a full purchase in 2026.
The E700 delivered to GDC features Platform Science on-board computer integration, enabling seamless fleet telematics and route optimisation through GDC's existing management platform. The truck is covered by Windrose's 5-year / 600,000 km warranty and is priced under the company's diesel-parity model — a per-kilometre fee structure designed to match the total cost of diesel transport from day one, with pricing linked to the Belgian Viapass zero-emission exemption benefit.
Alongside the purchase, GDC has committed to becoming an authorised Level 3 Windrose service centre at their Temse facility on Kapelanielaan. A Level 3 service centre is qualified to perform drivetrain, battery, and high-voltage system servicing — the highest level of technical authorisation in Windrose's European service network — strengthening workshop capacity for Belgian and regional customers.
The agreement marks a significant milestone for Windrose's growth in Belgium: a customer who evaluated the truck rigorously over two years before signing, and who will simultaneously serve the local fleet as an authorised service partner.
